Cavite baker bags P35-M lotto jackpot
MANILA, Philippines - A 42-year-old baker from Bacoor, Cavite yesterday claimed the P34,884,613.80 jackpot of the July 25 draw of the 6/45 Mega Lotto draw, a top official of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.
Lawyer Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager, said the lucky bettor hit the winning combination of 5-23-17-15-39-29 with a P30 bet for three sets of six-digit combinations.
The winner, who is married and has one child, has been betting in lotto in the past 10 years and intends to buy a house and lot and invest his winnings in the bakery business.
Another winner, who hit the winning combination in the July 26 draw, also showed up at the PCSO office to claim his P4.5-million prize.
The solo winner, a 57-year-old female cooperative employee from Muntinlupa City, got the winning combination of 12-22-33-23-41-1.
The PCSO quoted the winner as saying that she wants to spend the money for the treatment of her ailing parent and save the rest in the bank and for the needs of her two children.
Rojas said the winners this week included a player from General Santos City who hit Tuesday night’s P101-million jackpot of the 6/49 Super Lotto draw.
The winning combination – 39-42-38-7-10-12 – carried the jackpot of P106,844,100 and was sold at KCC Mall in General Santos City.
This is the second time since January that the lotto jackpot breached the P100-million mark.
Last month, a 60-year-old carpenter from Las Piñas City won the P356-million 6/55 Grand Lotto jackpot.
