CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga ,Philippines – Clark Development Corp. (CDC), announced yesterday it has linked up with the Department of Tourism (DOT) for the holding here of the first Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) kite flying festival on Nov. 25 to 27.
“We would like to put together the most colorful event of the year to hit Clark’s skyline for the first time. It can even challenge the magnitude and enormity of the hot-air ballooning event held in February of each year,” DOT regional director Ronaldo Tiotuico said.
Tiotuico said about 100 international kite flyers from the 10 member countries of the ASEAN, apart from hundreds of kite enthusiasts from Central Luzon and neighboring regions are expected to participate in the festival and the competitions.
The top two winners in the competition will represent the country in the annual Weifang International Kite Festival in China, he said.
