July 15 a special holiday in CAR

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines  – President Aquino has issued Proclamation 190 declaring July 15 – Cordillera Day – a special non-working holiday in Baguio City and the rest of the six provinces in the highland region.

In 1987, Aquino’s mother, the late former President Corazon Aquino, signed Executive Order 220 creating the Cordillera Administrative Region.
