UN hails Ambuklao-Binga settlement

MANILA, Philippines - The United Nations (UN) has documented through film the Philippines’ sterling exemplar in the peaceful resolution of conflict in the Ambuklao-Binga Dam project.

Under the mandate of Prof. John Ruggie as Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Business and Human Rights, the film titled “Dialogue at Ambuklao and Binga” will be launched at the UN European headquarters in Geneva tomorrow, June 15.

Ambassador Bente Angell-Hansen of the Permanent Mission of Norway in Geneva, Prof. John Ruggie and Prof. Annabelle Abaya, president and founder of the Conflict Resolution (CoRe) Group Foundation, Inc. and former presidential adviser on the peace process during the Arroyo administration, will be main speakers in the event.
