Isabela LTO executive shot dead
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – A chief traffic enforcer of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Isabela was shot dead by motorcycle-riding men in front of the agency’s district office in Santiago City the other day.
Police said Sadiri Domingo, 54, traffic team leader of LTO-Santiago City, died from three bullets wounds.
Reports said Domingo was on the roadside when the gunmen, on board a red Honda TMX motorcycle, got near him and shot him in the forehead, neck and cheek. The gunmen fled south toward Cordon town, also in Isabela.
Senior Superintendent Severino Abad, city police director, said police recovered two empty caliber .45 shells at the crime scene.
Probers were looking into a work-related motive behind the killing. “But we are not discounting other possibilities like personal motive,” Abad said.
Rising from the ranks, Domingo, one of the veteran LTO traffic enforcers in the region, hailed from Isabela’s Ramon town.
