LUCBAN, Quezon, Philippines – An FM (frequency modulation) radio station here continues its operations despite lack of permit from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), among other violations.
Engr. Joselito Leynes, NTC Region 4 director, said the Dyaski-FM 92.7 owned by Big Mo Total Media Solutions is operating illegally due to lack of test broadcast permit, program log and operation log.
Leynes said the frequency 92.7 MHz was formerly franchised to Baycomms Broadcasting Corp. based in Lucena City, allegedly said to be a delinquent station because its motion for renewal of provisional authority was denied in September 2008.
Dyaski-FM used the frequency 106.3 MHz for the first three months of its operation, but later transferred to 92.7 MHz for unknown reasons.
Leynes said the violations of the Dyaski-FM radio station were discovered last March when his team conducted an inspection of the station.
He said he ordered the radio station’s management to comply with NTC requirements within seven days after the inspection but Dyaski-FM did not heed his order.
