John Paul II pictures on exhibit in Bulacan

- Dino Balabo -

MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – Hundreds of photographs of the late Pope John Paul II with Bulakenyo clergymen will be on exhibit here starting today.

The exhibit will be held at the Pastoral Center of the Diocese of Malolos beside the Basilica Minore here. It will also include souvenirs and other mementos from the Pope.

Fr. Prospero Tenorio of the San Antonio de Padua parish in Hagonoy town, said the exhibit aims to show the public the close relationship of Bulakenyo clergymen with the late pontiff, whose beatification was celebrated by the Catholic Church yesterday.

“It’s a big event and a rare opportunity to see how Pope John Paul II used to welcome us and how he touched our lives,” said Tenorio, chairman of the diocese’s Commission on Formation.

He said the diocese led by Bishop Jose Francisco Oliveros requested them to look for photographs to be reproduced for the exhibit.
