5 nabbed for seizing Rizal teen

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested yesterday four men and a woman for kidnapping a 15-year-old girl in Teresa, Rizal last Sunday.

Senior Superintendent Manuel Prieto, Rizal police director, said they are looking into reports that the group is also behind the rash of kidnappings in neighboring towns.

Arrested were Bobby Borico, 37; Jimmy Gumban, 37; Rudito Lacaba, 54; Felipe Ramirez, 37; and Rosalie Montecalvo, 37, all residents of Barangay Prinza, Teresa town.

The teenage victim has formally filed a kidnapping case against the five suspects, one of whom yielded a 12-gauge shotgun during the arrest, police said.
