SANTIAGO CITY, Philippines – The water level at the Magat hydroelectric and irrigation project along the Isabela-Ifugao border remains normal, enough to sustain the irrigation needs of farmlands within the next cropping season.
The state-run National Irrigation Administration, which owns and operates the dam’s irrigation facility, said the water elevation remains stable despite the absence of rainfall in the past weeks.
Engineer Saturnino Tenedor, chief of the dam’s instrumentation, flood forecasting and warning section, said the water level at the dam’s reservoir as of yesterday reached 189 meters, still within the normal level.
