Batangas, Philippines – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized chemicals and equipment used in manufacturing illegal drugs during a raid on a shabu laboratory in Lipa City Friday afternoon, officials said.

Jeffrey Bangsa, Region 4-A director of PDEA, however, said no one was arrested in the raid.

Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Amor Reyes of NCR Judicial Region, Branch 21 of Manila, the PDEA agents, together with elements of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force and Lipa City policemen swooped down a house at the Sakura Executive Village in Barangay Maraouy.

Bangsa said three Chinese nationals identified as Benjie Ang, Shun Lee Wang and Shan Lo Wang rented the house sometime in October 2010 for P15,000 per month. They are now the subject of a police manhunt.

Seized were boxes of sodium hydroxide, hydro iodic acid, barium sulphate, black and white crystalline, yellow and red liquid, and assorted equipment.
