Rats attack Cagayan Valley farms

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Rat infestation has reportedly spread to at least 20 towns in Cagayan Valley, whose farmers are still reeling from the recent attack of armyworms on their farms.
In Isabela alone, some 20,000 hectares of rice and corn fields have reportedly been infested by rats since early this year.
Most affected by the rat infestation are the Isabela towns of Alicia, Roxas, Ramon, San Mateo, Aurora, San Manuel, Ilagan and Delfin Albano, and Santiago and Cauayan cities.
