ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Kidnappers freed a businesswoman in a remote Lanao del Sur town last Tuesday, three days after they released her sister to relay their P1.2-million ransom demand, police said.
Director Felicisimo Khu, chief of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operation Western Mindanao, said businesswoman Ma. Elda Senedo, 46, was freed in a village in Ramain, Lanao del Sur.
Senedo’s sister Nadja Saldivar, 51 was released earlier in Baloi, Lanao del Norte. The two siblings operate a printing press in Iligan City.
Police could not say if the victims’ family paid ransom, but it was learned that one Agakhan Sarip facilitated Senedo’s release.
