DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Thousands of barn swallows escaping the harsh winter in the United States have flocked to the farming town of Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte.
Residents said they first noticed a small number of barn swallows perched on electric cables more than a week ago, and their number has grown since then.
The townsfolk believe the barn swallows would bring them good luck, thus they have warned the public not to touch the birds.
