Rob gang head, 4 henchmen fall

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – The suspected leader and four members of a gang involved in robberies in the third and fourth districts of Pangasinan were arrested here Tuesday.

Suspected gang leader Crisanto Doria was reportedly nabbed while robbing a house on Burgos Street here.

Doria later identified four cohorts, mostly tricycle drivers, and they were arrested in a follow-up operation: Mark Anthony Albun, 22; Ninoy Cervantes, 23; Reynaldo Bautista, 25; and Louie Zabala, 23.    

Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr., city police chief, said the “Doria gang” was involved in akyat-bahay (burglaries), cell phone snatching, holdups and bukas-kotse.
