MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang yesterday said it would be up to the courts to release the so-called “Morong 43,” who are suspected to be communist rebels but who insist that they are community health workers.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte told government-owned radio station dzRB that while the Palace understands the sentiments of those calling for the Morong 43’s release, President Aquino earlier had said that the courts would decide their fate.
