'Polls in Agusan barangay a failure'

STA. JOSEFA, Agusan del Sur, Philippines – A group calling itself as the Asenso Movement for Integrity in Governance (Amigo) has asked Commission on Elections Chairman Jose Melo to declare a failure of elections in Barangay Poblacion here.

In a complaint letter, former provincial board member Rey Quijada, Amigo chairman, took provincial election supervisor Francisco Pobe to task for not transferring Sta. Josefa municipal election officer Rosalie Plaza, whose husband is a first cousin of Barangay Poblacion bet Carpin Plaza, a younger brother of incumbent Sta. Josefa Mayor Glenn Plaza. Carpin eventually won as barangay chairman.
