3 spider catchers gunned down
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Three men were killed while another was in critical condition when they were gunned down by security guards while catching spiders in a vacant lot in Silang, Cavite Wednesday night, police said.
SPO2 Danilo Bago, desk officer of the Dasmariñas police, identified the fatalities as Francisco Buergo, 36; Crispin Hubilla, 32; and Christian Salvador, 24, all residents of Barangay San Gabriel, Area K, General Mariano Alvarez town.
Seriously wounded was Jose Padaong, 32, who was rushed to the Philippine General Hospital.
Being hunted by the Silang police for the shooting were 11 security guards of Dasmariñas Security Services Inc., namely Edwin Arcero, a certain Padis MC and Paglinawan AZ, Oscar Albasan, Nepthalie Miranda, Pastor Medina, Geronimo Vertudez, Amistoso Benedicto, Renato Cuaterno, Victor Timtiman, and Manny Tabago.
Probers recovered a spent Carbine shell, two spent caliber .45 shells, and seven empty M-14 shells at the crime scene.
