Rob gang members nabbed

MALOLOS CITY – Three suspected robbery gang members were arrested by members of Bulacan police yesterday morning.

The suspects were identified as Anthony Alpar, 18; Augusto Montanez, 22; and Jerome Estabillo, 22; all are residents of Barangay Sta. Rita, in San Miguel town. They were arrested after robbing Remedios Pascual, 39, a businesswoman from Caloocan City.

Senior Superintendent Fernando Villa­nueva, acting provincial police director of Bulacan said that Pascual had just alighted from a bus, and entered Sevilla Restaurant located along the Daang Maharlika Highway in Barangay Sta. Rita, when the suspects came.

He said the victim was about to relieve herself when one of the suspects announced the holdup at gun point.    – Dino Balabo

The suspects divested from the victim a Louie Vuitton handbag worth P8,000 containing assorted jewelries worth P150,000, cash amounting to P50,000 and a Nokia cellphone.

The suspects were arrested and are now under police custody as charges against them are being readied. – Dino Balabo
