Lucena City , Philippines – Four suspected Budol-budol members were arrested last week in simultaneous operation of Lucena police operatives, where they nabbed a female suspect allegedly engaged in corrupting two police officers, police said yesterday.
According to Superintendent Pascual Muñoz Jr., the Budol-budol gang suspects allegedly led by a certain “Boknoy” resulted to the arrest of four in continuous intelligence operations. Amielyn Kerobe, and Rebecca Rostata allegedly attempted to bribe two police officers – Police Officers 1 Roland Roxas and Jerald Jinie Simeon for the amount of P10,000 to withdraw their statement against the suspects.
On June 9 at 11:30 p.m., Ruel Petilla alias ”Bok” was arrested at Olivarez compound, Barangay San Jose, Tagaytay City and in June 10 at about 12:30 a.m., Lorna Fajardo, was collared at Wind Ward Subdivision, Barangay Burol, Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Cases of swindling and corruption of public officials were filed against the first two suspects, while swindling cases are being readied against the last two suspects.
A Toyota Revo (WBK-425), one of the getaway cars was recovered by the LCPS intelligence operatives during the latest operations.
