CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines – Police released yesterday the artist’s sketches of two suspects in the slay attempt on Manila Regional Trial Court Judge Silvino Pampilo Jr. whose car was bombed in front of his house in Taytay, Rizal Wednesday morning.
Senior Superintendent Eliseo Rasco, Region 4-A director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and head of Task Force Pampilo, described one of the suspects as about 30 to 37 years old, about five feet, six to eight inches tall, and with medium build and fair complexion.
The second suspect was described as about 35 to 40 years old, five feet and six inches tall, and has stocky build.
Superintendent Archie Macala, CIDG regional deputy director, said all the pieces of evidence recovered from Pampilo’s Honda CRV are now being cross-matched with others recovered in other similar incidents in Rizal.
Macala said there are indications that the bomb used is a low and highly localized explosive, as shown by the minimal blast damage.
Forensic and bomb experts said the improvised bomb was attached underneath the front portion of Pampilo’s government-issued car.
