Calabarzon PNP now accepting police applicants

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – For college students with baccalaureate degrees who want to join the Philippine National Police service, the Calabarzon police command is now accepting applicants for 1,110 Police Officer 1, here for the first semester SY-2010.

Chief Superintendent Rolando Añonuevo, Calabarzon police director, said the recruitment is prioritized to fill up vacancies due to the attrition of police non-commissioned officers who were separated from the service, died, retired or dropped from the rolls and dismissed from the service.

Añonuevo said the command is allotted 1,110 for PO1 to be assigned to the five provinces of Calabarzon.

According to Police Senior Superintendent Reynaldo Opeña, regional personnel division chief, they are now processing applicants for new Mamang Pulis, and Aleng Pulis. Opeña said individuals who are interested may apply thru their respective municipality/city police station with appropriate eligibility and other qualifications as required.

Police Superintendent Jerry Protacio, Calabarzon spokesman, said oath-taking rites will be on Oct. 1, for the second batch, while the third and last batch will be on Dec.1. He said successful applicants will be turned over immediately to the Police National Training Institute for the regular police basic training and field training programs for the next 12 months. – Ed Amoroso
