-

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Elements of the Army-led Task Force Davao rescued on Saturday night an eight-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped by his nanny who had traveled all the way from Caga-yan de Oro City to this city.

Col. Oscar Lactao, who heads the task force, said his men assigned at the Davao City Overland Terminal intercepted the suspect, Cristy Jusay, 22, and the victim upon their arrival on board a Rural Transit bus from Cagayan de Oro at around 6 p.m.

Lactao said his men had been tipped off that Jusay was on the bus together with the eight-year-old boy.

Upon her arrest, Jusay was immediately turned over to the Talomo police station here.

Lactao said the victim was reunited with his parents late Saturday night in Marilog district where he was brought by responding police officers.
