Ecija PNP revamp affects 23 police officers

CABANATUAN CITY , Philippines  – Twelve police station commanders and 11 other ranking police officers were relieved from their posts Saturday in a major revamp of the Philippine National Police in Nueva Ecija, one of the identified election hot spots.

In Special Order 11, Senior Superintendent Ricardo Marquez, provincial police director, relieved the station commanders of the cities of Cabanatuan, Gapan, Muñoz and Palayan and the towns of Talavera, Guimba, Zaragoza, Quezon, San Isidro, Bongabon, Laur, and Licab.

The order, implemented by Superintendent Eduardo Soriano, deputy provincial police director for administration, came on the heels of the start of the total gun ban imposed by the Commission on Elections.

Relieved were Superintendents Efren Ramos (Cabanatuan), Fernando Galang (Muñoz), Epitacio Domingo (Palayan), Diosdado Iniego (Gapan), Pedro Soliba (Talavera), and Renato David (Guimba); Chief Inspectors Danilo Zulueta Sr. (Zaragoza), Samuel Avila (Quezon), and Arnel Santiago (San Isidro); and Senior Inspectors Armando Santiago (Bongabon), Danilo Eduardo (Laur), and Aniano Madrid (Licab).

Aside from them, also relieved were Superintendents Edgar Allan Okubo, Jonathan Cabal, Moises Pagaduan, Ricardo Villanueva and Manuel Cornel, chiefs of the 307th Provincial Mobile Group, Provincial Operations and Plans Branch, Provincial Election Monitoring and Action Center, Provincial Community Relations Branch, and Provincial Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit, respectively.

Also affected by the revamp were Chief Inspectors Angel Bondoc and Carlito Lopez of the Provincial Logistics Branch and Gapan police, respectively; and Senior Inspectors Marcelino Veneracion of the Cabanatuan police, Raymundo Valera of the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch, Romeo Ramos of the Provincial Headquarters Security Group, and Almario Evaristo of the Talavera police.     

Marquez said the revamp was part of the routine reshuffle of police officials.
