Firearms seized in Rizal home

-

MANILA, Philippines - Government troops conducting anti-insurgency operations stumbled on a cache of firearms and reloading machines in a house in Jalajala, Rizal Monday night.

Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Calabarzon police director, said joint elements of the police and Army arrested Vigilio Jocson, 49, who owns the house in Sitio Lumang Nayon, Barangay Bagumbong where the arms cache was found.

“We are now determining whether he (Jocson) is an active supporter of the New People’s Army or has been involved in criminal activities,” Palad said. – Non Alquitran and Cecille Suerte Felipe
