Other angles explored in radioman's killing

-

MANILA, Philippines - Police are not discounting the possibility that a personal grudge, love triangle or other motives could be behind last Sunday’s killing of a broadcaster in Surigao del Sur.

Chief Superintendent Jaime Milla, Caraga police director, said Region 13’s Task Force Usig is now working with the Barobo and Surigao del Sur police for the early solution of the murder of Godofredo Linao, 49, host of the public service program “Pamilya Walang Iwanan” over 94.5 Radyo Natin in Bislig City.

Linao, 49, was gunned down by two men, who apparently had waited for him in the vicinity of Bogac Lodge in Barobo town. Linao was riding his motorcycle.

The New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists condemned Linao’s killing and scored the government for falling behind in its promise to prosecute the killers of Filipino journalists. – Cecille Suerte Felipe, Ben Serrano and Pia Lee-Brago
