Task Force Comet has new chief

-

ZAMBOANGA CITY , Philippines   – The anti-terror unit of Joint Task Force Comet, which led the degrading of the Abu Sayyaf and Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) militants in Sulu province, has its new commander effective Sunday.

Maj. Gen. Juancho Sabban, who assumed the other day as Philippine Marine commandant, relinquished the post as Task Force Comet chief to Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ben Dolorfino during a simple turn over ceremony presided over by Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Emilio Marayag in Western Mindanao Command headquarters here. Marayag said Dolorfino sat in acting capacity pending appointment to a regular officer to be issued by the President as the Commander-in-Chief.     – Roel Pareño
