Nueva Ecija council secretary sacked

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines  – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has dismissed from the government service a secretary of the municipal council of Cabiao, Nueva Ecija for faking his civil service eligibility.

CSC-Region 3 director Karin Litz Zerna ordered Salvador Franco Jr. dismissed for dishonesty, grave misconduct, falsification of official documents and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.

Cabiao Mayor Abundia Garcia hailed Franco’s dismissal, saying dishonesty has no place in her administration which is trying to promote good governance.

Garcia vowed to look into allegations that other municipal employees could have faked their civil service eligibility, too. – Manny Galvez
