BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Armed men yesterday attacked a remote village in Bayawan, Negros Oriental, killing seven civilians and wounding a barangay captain.
Superintendent Roy Abella, Bayawan police chief, said the armed men attacked members of the “Pulahan” group, an alleged religious cult, reportedly headed by Felipe Condes, head of Barangay Kalamtukan, who was wounded in the incident. – Antonieta Lopez
