Engineer's slay suspect shot dead

MANILA, Philippines - The eighth most wanted person in the Calabarzon region who carried a P300,000 bounty was killed in a shootout with policemen in Noveleta, Cavite Wednesday.

Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Calabarzon police director, said the suspect, Alfredo Monton, shot it out with lawmen who were to serve a warrant for his arrest for the murder of engineer Jeffrey Eguilar in Kawit, Cavite in March 2002. – Non Alquitran, Ed Amoroso
