Suspect in death of Batangas police chief gunned down

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A man tagged as one of the principal suspects in the killing of a Batangas town police chief in Tanauan on June 10, was gunned down by two unidentified men in what was described as “revenge,” in Barangay Pioquinto, Malvar, Batangas, Saturday noon.

Reports reaching Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Calabarzon police director, identified the slain victim as Rodel dela Cueva, 33, who died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Palad said Dela Cueva was involved in the shooting to death of police Senior Inspector Ramonchito Chavez, Malvar town police chief, on June 10 at Barangay Sambat, Tanauan City, Batangas. – Ed Amoroso
