31 hurt as bus falls into ravine

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – At least 31 passengers sustained injuries when their bus fell into a 15-foot deep ravine in Ma. Aurora, Aurora last Wednesday, police said.

The Papin bus, which had 40 passengers and had come from Cabanatuan City, suffered a mechanical failure while cruising the highway in Barangay Wenceslao.

Its driver, Dennis Macayanan, was detained and charged with reckless imprudence resulting in multiple physical injuries. – Ric Sapnu
