DPWH upgrades Quezon highways
CANDELARIA, Quezon , Philippines – The Department of Public Works and Highways 2nd Engineering District has notified the public for the temporary closure of Bantilan Bridge along Candelaria-Bolboc Road (Candelaria-San Juan) on Sunday.
District Engineer Cely Flancia in a phone interview with The STAR, said that the bridge’s closure is part of the pump priming project of the government which is the 62 linear meters of bridge rehabilitation due to damage. It is expected to be finished within 120 working days.
“The repair and rehabilitation will be finished on, or before June 30, as per instruction of the higher ups. We also request municipal mayors to help in information dissemination regarding the closure of the said Bridge,” Flancia said.
Flancia said the following road sections to serve as alternative routes in going to and from Quezon-Batangas and vise-versa are: Tiaong-Cabay-Paiisa-Del Rosario-San Juan Batangas Road; Quezon-Batangas Road (Tiaong-San Antonio-Padre Garcia Batangas Road). – Michelle Zoleta
