DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Fifteen fishermen who went missing on Sunday off Balut Island in Sarangani, Davao del Sur were finally rescued Tuesday night just within the vicinity where their boat was found half-submerged, the Coast Guard said.
The fishermen, who were on board F/B Citra-28 owned by Joaquin Lu of Citra Mina Fishing Corp. in General Santos City, were all accounted for, according to the Coast Guard’s southeastern Mindanao station. – Edith Regalado
