KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – Nine more villagers were reportedly killed Sunday night and 38 families have fled their homes due to hostilities over a land dispute between Christians and B’laans in Tupi, South Cotabato, lawyer Remegio Rojas, provincial director of the Philippine National Red Cross, told Bombo Radyo, citing reports reaching him.
The hostilities began when four men shot dead six residents working on a farmland in Sitio Landayaw, Barangay Cebuano last Thursday afternoon. – Ramil Bajo
