2 Indian traders shot dead in Pangasinan
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Two Indian businessmen were killed while another was seriously wounded when two motorcycle-riding men shot them the other day along the provincial road in Barangay Tara, Bolinao town, a report reaching the provincial police command said.
The report identified the fatalities as Jatinder Singh, 34, and Ajit Sohal, 19. Wounded was Malkinder Singh, 35. The victims were all residents of Braganza Village in Alaminos City.
Initial investigation said the three, on board a Honda XRM motorcycle, just came from Anda town after collecting an undetermined amount of money from their clients.
While on the way, two helmet-wearing men on a motorcycle fired at them.
Jatinder Singh and Sohal died on the spot due to multiple bullet wounds, while Malkinder was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Investigation showed that the suspects took some of the victims’ personal belongings.
Robbery was established as the motive for the attack as the victims’ wallets were also missing.
Recovered at the scene were 12 shells of caliber 45, two shells of caliber 9-mm, and a deformed slug.
Police were conducting further investigation to identity and arrest of the gunmen.
