Bombing suspect's 2 henchmen fall

COTABATO CITY – Police arrested two henchmen of foreign-trained bomber Basit Usman in separate operations in North Cotabato the other day.

Usman, wanted for the recent spate of deadly bombings in Central Mindanao, is the sub-commander of Ameril Ombra Kato, the wanted chief of the 105th Base Command of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.

Police said the suspects, Noel Pedtamanan and Larry Antelino, were among 49 inmates who bolted the provincial jail in Kidapawan City last year during a daring rescue by Moro rebels of more than a dozen detained bomb experts led by Datu Ali Sultan. – John Unson
