CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Army ordnance experts defused yesterday a bomb found on a road leading to Camp Siongco on time for President Arroyo’s visit today to the headquarters of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division in Maguindanao.
Inspector Dante Mama, Datu Odin Sinsuat police chief who has jurisdiction over the areas around the military camp and nearby Cotabato airport, said the improvised explosive was found along a highway near this tightly guarded military camp. – John Unson
