Bulacan barangay executive, boyfriend found dead

MEYCAUAYAN CITY – A 22-year-old barangay councilwoman and her boyfriend were found dead, blindfolded and with a gunshot wound each, in an abandoned car in a subdivision in this Bulacan city yesterday morning.

Police said the bodies of Catherine Esteban, a councilwoman of Barangay Tugatog here, and her businessman-boyfriend, Jayson Hernandez, 30, were found in the backseat of a Mitsubishi Lancer parked near a chapel at Richmond Subdivision in Barangay Bahay Pare.

Residents said they heard no gunshots before the bodies were found, leading police to suspect that Esteban and Hernandez were killed elsewhere. 

Investigation was still ongoing, but probers were looking into business rivalry, politics or love triangle as possible motive.
