BIÑAN, Laguna – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology has offered an additional reward for the arrest of three of 16 detainees who bolted the Biñan municipal jail last Oct. 1., who remain at large.
Chief Inspector Melchor Antigue, Biñan jail warden, said BJMP chief Rosendo Dial offered an additional P20,000 each – bringing the total to P60,000 each – for the arrest of jailbreakers Adolfo Tanael, Jhonil Otbo and Rudy Pangaliwangan, who are charged with illegal drugs, rape and murder, respectively.
The 13 other escapees had given themselves up, seven of them just a few hours after the jailbreak.
Antigue said Biñan officials are also planning to offer an additional reward for the speedy arrest of the three escapees. – Ed Amoroso
