'Double dead' meat downs 54

Vigan City, Ilocos Sur – At least 54 villagers who reportedly ate “double dead” meat during a wake in upland Suyo town in Ilocos Sur were hospitalized after showing symptoms of diarrhea.

At least one has died, a certain Dominguez Daplian, 36, a resident of Sitio Dadtoco, Barangay Man-atong, Suyo, due to dehydration.

The rest of the victims are being observed at the local rural health unit and hospital. – Artemio Dumlao
