4 in bank rob-slay plead not guilty

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police said four suspects in the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) robbery-slay in Cabuyao, Laguna last May 16 pleaded not guilty during their arraignment last Thursday.

Superintendent Romano Cardino, deputy regional director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Region 4-A, said bank security guard Joel de la Cruz, driver Jesus Narvaez, former Army man Ricardo Gomolon, and alleged lookout Crisanto Alvarez appeared along with their legal counsels before Regional Trial Court Branch 24 in Biñan.

Another suspect, Jake Javier, who was placed under the custody of the Commission on Human Rights after he voluntarily surrendered, did not attend the arraignment, Cardino said.

The CIDG and Task Force RCBC are still tracking down two other suspects, Allan Bago and Danilo Letoguit. – Ed Amoroso
