Victim's pa in Roldan case dies in mishap

BENGUET – The father of the kidnap victim in a celebrated case allegedly involving actor-politician Dennis Roldan was killed in a vehicular mishap along the highway in Tablay town yesterday afternoon, police said.

Authorities said Roger Yu was cruising the highway in Barangay Capongga when his Honda Civic plunged into a 250-meter deep ravine.

Superintendent Jaime Rodrigo Lial, scene-of-the-crime operatives’ chief of the Cordillera police, said Yu’s car went aflame after falling off the cliff.      – Artemio Dumlao
