- Celso Amo, Cecille Suerte Felipe -

LEGAZPI CITY – Police swooped down on a two-door apartment in Iriga City, Camarines Sur last Monday night, seizing chemicals and equipment used in making shabu.

The raid, supervised by Superintendent Tomasito Clet in the presence of mediamen and barangay officials, was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Iriga Regional Trial Court Judge Milagros Quijano.

Three men who occupied the apartment, identified as Eric Mendoza and a certain Geroge and Totoy, eluded arrest.

Last month, another shabu laboratory was discovered in an abandoned apartment in Barangay Nursery in Masbate City.

Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Joven Parcon, Bicol officer-in-charge of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, said a joint police-PDEA team seized dried marijuana leaves in the house of Leo de la Trinidad, alias Leonides de Leon, in Barangay Sabang, Naga City last Tuesday.
