9 Laguna jailbreakers still at large

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police are still tracking down nine of the 16 inmates who bolted the municipal jail in Biñan, Laguna last Wednesday morning.

Superintendent Mafelino Bazar, Biñan police chief, said seven of the jailbreakers have either given themselves up or been re-arrested.

The seven were identified as Erickson Javier, Romano Mane, Ralph Ochoa, Andrew Placios, Aries Bon, Marlon Pascual, and Wilson Esteban.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Ronaldo Puno reprimanded officials of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology for the jailbreak.

Puno gave instructions to DILG Undersecretary for Public Safety Marius Corpus to admonish jail officials and personnel who were responsible for the incident. – Ed Amoroso, Cecille Suerte Felipe
