Woman arrested for slapping fiscal
Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna – A 42-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly slapping a city prosecutor while conducting preliminary investigation in Sta. Rosa, Laguna Tuesday morning, police said.
Superintendent Rodney Ramirez, Sta. Rosa police chief identified the suspect as Olimpia Tiongco, a resident of Barangay Macabling, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
In a document provided The Star, Tiongco will be facing two counts of direct assault upon an agent in authority, two counts of grave threat and two counts of oral defamation after allegedly slapping Sta. Rosa City prosecutor Oscar Co, 42 of Barangay Kanluran, Sta. Rosa City.
According to Co, he was conducting a preliminary investigation when he was allegedly confronted by Tiongco while uttering – “patatanggalan kita ng lisensya at isusumbong sa Supreme Court! Anay ka sa lipunan! Nagluluto ng kaso! Bulok ka!” at around 11 a.m.
When Co replied to Tiongco and demanded to present any evidence on her accusations, Tiongco again shouted at him and said “Tarantado kang fiscal ka! kami ang nagpapasweldo sa inyo! Humanda ka tapos na ang araw mo!” and subsequently slapping Co’s face twice.
With that, Co immediately called the assistance of a police and have Tiongco arrested while inside the prosecutors office.
