3 brothers charged for newsman’s ambush

Police have filed charges against three brothers for the ambush that killed a newsman and wounded one of his two reporter-daughters in Quezon last June 30.

This, after forensic experts found positive match between the bullets that killed newsman Fausto Albert Sison and those on the gun seized from the suspects.

Charged with murder, frustrated murder and attempted murder before the Quezon prosecutor’s office were Mario Biscocho and his brothers Michael and Menandro.

Sison, together with daughters Liwayway, 30, and Almira, 24, was cruising Barangay Lutucan in Sariaya, Quezon on board his Toyota Corolla when he was waylaid by two motorcycle-riding men. Liwayway was hit in the left arm while Almira escaped the incident unscathed.
