Farmer killed by brod-in-law

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A farmer was killed after he was shot by his brother-in-law Monday morning at sitio Imus in Barangay Don Justo Abalos, Umingan, a report reaching the Pangasinan PNP provincial office said yesterday.

The report identified the victim as Romeo Pacites, 36, of said place while the suspect who fled after the incident as Willy Gaita, a native of Caranglaan, Nueva Ecija.

Investigation showed that a day prior to the incident, the victim chased his three-year-old nephew, Patrick (son of the suspect), prompting the latter’s mother, Adelina, to react but she was struck by the victim with a branch of tree.   – Cesar Ramirez
