The captured NCMRC camp is located in the forested area of Sitio Tinupungan, Barangay Sta. Cruz, Quezon in Bukidnon.
“The firefight that lasted for three hours resulted to the killing of alias Grace, committee member and medical staff of the CPP-NPA’s Komiteng Mindanao (Komid)), Ka Jake and Ka Tonio, both ordnance staff and CPP-NPA’s Komid committee members.
Army combatants also recovered three high-powered firearms including an M16, M14 and a Belgian-made PAL 7.62 assault rifle from the slain insurgents.

Military chief, Lt. Gen. Alexander Yano hailed the troops for the success of their operations as he extolled his men to pursue their tasks to go and continue their hunt against the NPA hardliners.
In related developments, Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro pinned medals to Armymen and militiamen who repulsed an overwhelming NPA force that attacked, in a movie-like fashion, their command post in Abra Saturday last week.
Teodoro personally flew to the headquarters of the Army’s 503rd Brigade in the province to give honors to the two soldiers and 16 militiamen for their gallantry in action by engaging some 100 NPAs in an eight-hour gunbattle.
When the insurgents launched their dawn two-pronged assault on the Army’s command post, the surprised and outnumbered troops held their ground, killing six of the NPA attackers when they launched a counter-attack.
