Antipolo children’s school robbed

- Non Alquitran -

Seven armed men robbed a children’s school owned by a barangay councilman in Antipolo City last Tuesday, carting away cash, valuables and the owner’s new car.

The robbers barged inside the Justo Learning Academy at the corner of Cadena de Amor and Orchids streets in Greenheights Subdivision owned by barangay kagawad Justo Gilbert de Jesus at around 9:45 p.m., and tied up De Jesus, security guard Roque Llorca, and school employee Ulnico Juanane.

The robbers then divested the three of a total P7,000 in cash, a cellular phone, a digital camera and Llorca’s caliber .45 service pistol.

Before leaving the premises, they took from De Jesus the keys to his newly bought black Toyota Fortuner with license plate ZKE-617 and used it as their getaway vehicle.

Superintendent Sotero Ramos Jr., Marikina City police chief, said they found the Fortuner abandoned at the corner of Gil Fernando and Lark streets yesterday morning.

The anti-car theft unit of the Antipolo City police lifted fingerprints from the car that might help probers identify the robbers.
