Salapuddin’s nephew abducted?

 ZAMBOANGA  CITY – Authorities were verifying reports that a nephew of former congressman and House Deputy Speaker Gerry Salapuddin was abducted by armed men in Basilan.

Reports reaching this city said Issak Salapuddin was snatched in the remote village of Subah Cadiis in Tuburan, Basilan last Thursday afternoon.

Maj. Eugene Batara, spokesman of the Armed Forces Western Mindanao Command, and Senior Superintendent Salik Macapantar, Basilan police director, said they got similar reports but were still verifying them. – Roel Pareño
